For some reason, we hadn’t booked an excursion in Tenerife on Monday 18 November at 8.00 am, so we missed out on exploring the largest of the Canary Islands which, like the other islands was formed by volcanic activity. Tenerife is known for its warm climate, stunning landscapes and sun-soaked beaches and is a firm favourite of visitors from the UK in particular. It is the place where one can see the church of St. Francis of Assisi in the Plaza de Espaňa which I know I would have enjoyed. We spent a busy day taking advantage of the many activities that the ship had to offer and also enjoyed the lovely warm weather on the deck.
We finally set off again at 10.00 pm.
