Saturday 16 November was spent at sea in somewhat rough seas as we made our way to the Canary Islands. Being at sea is pretty social and we had a fabulous talk on Spanish history, a game of bridge, and dinner with the team we have formed to compete in a daily morning and afternoon quiz. Our team of six is very international with Rinus and Marion from Holland, Liz and Joanne from Scotland, Barbara from England, Di from Australia, and me! I was definitely the weak link. For the African leg, Liz and Joanne left us and we were joined by David, Aileen, and Paul, all from Scotland! There's a photo of dinner with the 'African leg' team in a post on 21-22 November.
Although the photos below show occasions that are not necessarily in any correct sequence, the sea days seemed to be an opportunity to savour some of the memories that were all part of the happiness that our cruise gave to us.
So here are a few, this time of the Azamara Quest itself - a ship in which we were afforded every luxury:
The Azamara Quest waiting for us in Barcelona
The staircase on the 5th floor
One of the many washrooms
The corridor to our cabin
The Mosaic Lounge, providing coffee and goodies morning, noon, and night
The pool deck on the 9th floor with the walking track above
