What others had to say..
Just wanted to thank you again for everything you have done for me and the rest of the RYLA crew. In particular I would like to thank you for the impact you had on me with regards to improving my speaking skills. We learned that you can't do everything alone and I strongly believe that without your guidance I would not have become ambassador. So, thank you!
I picked up your book yesterday. I thought I'd read a couple of pages to see what it was about. Before I knew it the first chapter was out of the way. I couldn't put it down. I read the entire thing in one sitting. I'm now about half way through reading it the second time trying to pick up more detail. It is nothing short of amazing and I'd also like to thank you for putting such amazing wisdom down in the form of a book for others to pick up on.

Wendy’s book is beautifully presented with easy-to-follow, inspiring ideas. This book provided an invaluable aid to help me recognize and counter negative thoughts, both in croquet and in wider life. The improvement in my play since reading this book has been stunning.

I really liked the feel of the paper, the lovely pictures and the personal stories. It’s very practical/simple, the language is easy to follow as are the wonderful pieces of advice - it spurred me on to revisit my dreams!
It’s uncomplicated and the journey/enquiry is a good pace, as one becomes conscious of our thoughts we create moment by moment that shape our lives. At the end the opportunity to create a new future - plan the work and work the plan - its not rocket science!
I've read some books that make it all so complicated for the reader and then far too much to try to remember... or too much detail.
I started using the GLP the very next day.
This book will appeal to a wide audience, and I'll be recommending it to people.

It was very synchronistic for me to meet you at Wellington croquet lawns last Friday. Thank you so much for the book. I have been reading it and it is very helpful.
The Titahi Bay Medical Centre will not be getting their hands on it till after Easter!
I am very grateful to you Wendy for so generously sharing your wisdom.
Thanks Wendy. You’re an inspiration.

I just read your book, and thought I'd tell you how amazing I thought it was, it has really inspired me. I've also told my mother and my partner all about it, so hopefully they too will read and be inspired by it soon. Thank you so much.

Thank you for your book. I have been gaining a lot of insight. I am having no problem with reading your book in PDF form from my iPad.
Thank you, and yes, I am thoroughly enjoying it.

A useful exercise for all involved is to ask some basic self-reflection questions. What is it that I most highly value? Wendy Betteridge who has written the book “It’s your thoughts that count,” says when we are faced with big life decisions such as choosing a career, a useful decision-making tool is to find out what it is that we most highly value. It could be things like, social prestige, money, and helping people. Also, we need to ask, what is it that I love to do and when am I most happy? For a child that values freedom, money and helping people, a transferable skill that is high demand and has prospects for business ownership, a plumbing apprenticeship might really appeal. However, watching programmes on TV like CSR, or Grey’s Anatomy might ignite a passion for scientific inquiry, problem solving, and or saving lives.

You might sometimes wonder where Wendy gets such amazing drive and energy. Well, a read of this book will give you a little insight into a mindset that helps to 'drive' success. In the modern age it seems people find it far too easy to blame others for their lot. There are many people I have encountered in both policing and driver training who could do with reading this book and using the techniques that Wendy describes to influence their own destiny. I am reminded of a quote from Henry Ford who said, ‘Whether you think you can, or you think you can't - you're right.’

As a mum, mature student and business woman, there is a wealth of wonderful advice in this great little book that I can use in all aspects of my life.

Many books have been written on this important and fascinating subject. But here comes the most accessible of them all, filled with engaging personal stories we can all relate to, backed up with a readily practical plan that will enable us to truly make our own reality the reflection of our best thoughts. Very encouraging read.
